Kashmir lavender is grown in the foothills of the Himalayas, in high-altitude valleys well-known for their rich harvests of aromatic and medicinal plant. The oil is extracted from the flowering tops of the Lavandula officinalis plant by way of steam distillation and the oil in very limited amount. In aromatherapy, Lavender has remarkable regenerative abilities for healing wounds and burns and is one of only a couple of essential oils that can be applied neat.
